1. Establish an Electronic Medical Database for the South African Market: Establish and expand an electronic health record system based on patient controlled personal health records (PCPHR) with various provider access portals.
2. Rethink Usability in the Medical Sector: Using collaborative data input and making the programme patient controlled and driven to preserve the most valuable resource in the medical service delivery chain: the time of the clinician.
3. Deliver Multi-level Reporting and Clinical Workflow Management Solutions: Using the insights of the STIRhealth team to deliver multi-level reports and clinical workflow management solutions based on single-point data entry with multiple applications.
4. Harness International Trends: Using open standards and interactions with accessibility by means of non-proprietary tools such as the web.
5. Enable Medical Service Providers to Practice Evidence Based Medicine: Providing the additional service of developing evidence based clinical workflow models with quality control and clinical consulting
6. Drive Better Treatment Outcomes: While the lack of effective data interpretation poses a threat to optimal patient outcomes, STIRhealth leads the way by developing structured business rules to provide health care providers with the critical information they need to make the right decisions.
